Urinlekkasje, sterk trang (urge): Årsak

Årsaken til tilstanden er ofte uklar, men inkontinensen skyldes ustabilitet i muskelen som tømmer blæren. I de fleste tilfeller finner man ingen annen sykdom hos pasienten. Plagen kan imidlertid opptre i forbindelse med akutt blærekatar, og den kan også være et symptom ved nevrologisk sykdom, som for eksempel multippel sklerose.
