Psoriasis, oversikt: Årsaker til psoriasis

Årsaken til psoriasis er ikke kjent, men vi vet at den kan utløses av belastninger på kroppen. Derfor kan du få utbrudd av sykdommen etter for eksempel stress, infeksjoner, alkoholinntak, bruk av enkelte medisiner og ytre irritasjon av huden.

Det foreligger også en klar arvelig disposisjon for å få psoriasis. Dersom begge foreldrene har psoriasis, er det cirka 40-50 prosent sjanse for at barnet får psoriasis. Hos cirka 30 prosent av pasientene med sykdommen finnes personer med psoriasis i den nærmeste familien.
