Lateksallergi: Behandling

Dersom du har lateksallergi, kan du redusere risikoen for eksponering ved å unngå direkte kontakt med lateks, for eksempel ved å slutte å bruke latekshansker. Også andre, naturlige gummiprodukter kan utløse allergi. Du bør derfor unngå direkte kontakt med slike produkter. I tillegg kommer en del matvarer som forårsaker kryssallergi. Vær derfor oppmerksom på at avocado, banan, kiwi, kastanjenøtter og andre planteprodukter kan forsterke tendensen til lateksallergi.

Selve eksemet behandles på vanlig måte med påsmøring av betennelsesdempende salver eller kremer med kortikosteroid.
