  • Start med hjerte-lunge-redning
  • Alle som er gjenopplivet etter drukning, skal legges inn til observasjon på grunn av fare for lungekomplikasjoner
    • Hurtigst mulig transport til sykehuset, helst i følge med lege
    • Sjokklungeutvikling med lavt oksygennivå i blodet kan skje opptil 72 timer etter drukningen
  • OBS! Forsinket død kan komme 15 min. til tre dager etter ulykken
