Å leve med grå stær

Det er store individuelle forskjeller når det gjelder hvor mye sykdommen påvirker dagliglivet og livskvaliteten. Noen merker nesten ingen ting til sin grå stær, mens andre er mer plaget.

Synet er en svært viktig sans for mennesker, og tap av evnen til å se vil påvirke livskvaliteten for de fleste. Nå er det heldigvis slik at de fleste med grå stær kan opereres og få tilbake et brukbart syn. Man har de senere år fått bedre behandlingsmuligheter, og svært få trenger i dag å miste synet helt på grunn av grå stær.
