Sterilisering, mann: Hvor utføres steriliseringen?

Steriliseringsinngrep blir ikke klassifisert som medisinsk nødvendige inngrep. Det er derfor innført såkalt forhøyet egenandel, og sykehusene er ikke forpliktet til å ha tilbud om dette inngrepet. Ventetiden er mange steder lang.

Dersom du ikke får utført sterilisering ved lokalt sykehus, kan du kontakte private sykehus eller privatpraktiserende kirurger for operasjon. Enten du blir operert på et offentlig sykehus eller på et privat sykehus/legekontor, må du dekke utgiftene selv. Prisen er cirka 6000 kroner på private sykehus.
