Endetarmsfremfall: Diagnosen

Legen kartlegger symptomene og plagene i sykehistorien. Diagnosen stilles som regel ved inspeksjon av endetarmsåpningen, der prolapset kommer frem når pasienten står eller setter seg på huk. Dersom det blir akuelt med operasjon, kan tilleggsundersøkelser som røntgen, endoskopi, MR og trykkmålinger bli aktuelle.
