Svette hender og føtter: Årsak

Å svette er kroppens mekanisme til å kjøle ned seg. Nervesystemet trigger automatisk svettekjertlene når kroppstemperaturen stiger. Svetting opptrer også normalt, særlig i hendene, når du er nervøs. Ved hyperhidrose blir nervene som skal trigge svettekjertlene, overaktive og utløser mer svette når det ikke er nødvendig. Problemet forsterkes når du er under stress eller er nervøs.

Svette hender og føtter skyldes vanligvis ikke en sykdom. Problemet debuterer gjerne i barndommen. Ofte er det en opphopning av problemet i enkelte familier. Det synes å være en arvelig komponent.

Unntaksvis kan overdreven svetting skyldes bivirkninger av medisiner, overgangsalderen, lavt blodsukker, overaktiv skjoldkjertel (høyt stoffskifte), noen krefttyper, hjerteattakk, infeksjon.
