Leggsår, venøse: Symptomer

Pasienter med venøse leggsår har vanligvis plager i form av spreng og tyngdefornemmelse i bena i oppreist stilling. Ubehaget tiltar vanligvis utover dagen, og det kan være ekstra ille i varmt vær. Så mange som to tredeler av pasientene har sårsmerter i varierende grad. Lokal kløe, væsking fra såret og prikkende fornemmelser er ikke uvanlig. Mange pasienter klager også over nattlige kramper.

Akutt forverring av smerter kan tyde på at pasienten er i ferd med å utvikle en sårinfeksjon.
