Menstruasjonssmerter: Behandling
Behandlingen avhenger av årsaken til smertene. Lettere plager behandles med vanlige, reseptfrie, smertestillende medisiner (ibux eller paracetamol for eksempel). Ved sterkere smerter kan man få betennelsesdempende medisiner på resept av typen NSAIDs, for eksempel naproxen, ibumetin. P-piller virker godt ved primær dysmenoré og brukes dersom du i tillegg har behov for prevensjon. Hos "voksne" kvinner kan eventuell kopperspiral fjernes eller byttes til en hormonspiral, som nedsetter blødningsmengden og smerten.
