Hva finnes av medisinsk utstyr ombord i et fly

Kravene til akuttmedisinsk utstyr («Emergency medical kit») ombord kan variere med land og flyselskap. Det finnes vanligvis utstyr for basale medisinske prosedyrer, blødningskontroll, intravenøst utstyr. Eksempelvis finnes i et Norwegian-fly blant annet:

  • Medikamenter - nitroglyserin, adrenalin, stesolid, glukose, cetirizin, paracet, saltløsninger
  • Utstyr - hansker, stetoskop, nåler, skalpell, blodtrykksmåler, blodsukkermåler, plaster og et sug
  • Oksygenflasker og masker
  • Hjertestarter

Utstyret er plassert flere steder i flyet.

Medisiner finnes tilgjengelige til behandling av milde smerter, allergiske reaksjoner, astmaplager, lavt blodsukker, kramper, kvalme, dehydrering og noen hjertelidelser. Det finnes også urinkateter ombord.
