Forliggende morkake (placenta previa): Prognose

I de aller fleste tilfeller er utsiktene gode enten du føder normalt eller ved keisersnitt. Seteleie og tverrleie forekommer noe hyppigere ved placenta previa. Alvorlige og livstruende komplikasjoner for moren er sjeldne. En kvinne som har hatt forliggende morkake, har litt økt risiko for det samme i senere svangerskap.
