Atopisk eksem, yrkesvalg: Forebygging av håndeksem

Dersom du har eller har hatt atopisk eksem og jobber i et av de omtalte yrkene, bør du sørge for å følge de generelle rådene for forebygging av håndeksem. Det er svært viktig å holde huden fuktig og å forhindre uttørking. Fuktighetskrem bør alltid være tilgjengelig og brukes regelmessig.

Unngå overdreven håndvask, bruk lunkent varnn og mild såpe. Forsøk å hindre at du kommer i direkte kontakt med konsentrerte vaskemidler, hårshampo, hårfarge, pussemidler, løsemidler (terpentin mv) og så videre. Bruk vinylhansker når du er i kontakt med irriterende stoffer, eller når du behandler matvarer.
