Bakgrunn

  • Migrene er vanligvis en intens, bankende hodepine på den ene siden av hodet
  • Noen opplever et forvarsel (aura) i form av synsforstyrrelser
  • Under anfallet kan den syke ha kvalme og oppkast og reagerer ofte på sterkt lys
  • Anfallet kan utløses av en rekke forskjellige ting som visse typer mat - oster, sjokolade, vin - allergi eller slitenhet

Førstehjelp

  • Lindre smerte
    • Dersom den syke har migrenemedisin, bør han/hun oppfordres til å ta det
    • Dersom den syke ikke har migrenemedisin, kan han/hun ta to tabletter paracetamol. Et barn tar den aldersbestemte dosen med paracetamol
    • Eventuelt kalde omslag eller isposer på pannen
  • Slappe av
    • Få den syke til å legge seg ned på et kjølig, mørkt og stille rom og prøve å få sove noen timer
